ConceptXYZ was created around a simple idea: if something could work better, design a better solution.
For me, engineering has never just been a job. I spent 15 years working alongside my Dad in engineering, designing and developing solutions to real-world problems. It was where much of my practical engineering experience came from, but more importantly, it meant I got to spend those years working with him.
When I lost my Dad in 2026, it changed a lot for me. It made me think seriously about what I wanted to do next and, rather than simply returning to doing the same thing for somebody else, I decided to take the experience I'd built over the years and create something of my own.
ConceptXYZ grew from that decision.
What you'll find here
Lighting. A growing range of sculptural table lamps and pendant shades, 3D printed to order in my Devon workshop and finished with a warm, cosy LED glow.
Tools for pet keepers. Practical products for reptile, amphibian and aquarium keepers, like the Fruit Fly Culture & Feeding System and gecko feeding dishes. They're designed by a keeper and tested in my own setups before they're listed.
Mugs. A collection of funny, illustrated mugs for dog walkers, spaniel owners, fishkeepers and vivarium keepers, inspired by muddy walks, wet dogs and the "just one more tank" feeling. Every design is my own, and each mug is printed to order for you by a trusted UK print partner.
Whatever the product, it follows the same process: design, prototype, test, refine and make.
Alongside my own range, I also offer custom CAD design, one-off components and small-batch 3D printing, helping other people turn their own ideas and requirements into physical parts.
I'm not interested in making things just because I can. I want everything in ConceptXYZ to have a genuine purpose, whether that's making something easier, improving an existing solution, replacing a component that shouldn't mean throwing away an entire product, or simply putting a smile on someone's face with their morning cuppa.
ConceptXYZ is a new chapter for me, but it's built on years of engineering experience and 15 years spent working alongside the person who had the biggest influence on me.
